Responsibilities:

  • Surveying and Assessing Land: Identify and assess the land needed for the highway route, including determining ownership and any encumbrances or existing rights.
  • Negotiating Land Acquisition: Coordinate and negotiate with landowners, occupants, and other stakeholders to acquire land for the project.
  • Ensuring Compensation: Ensure that landowners and affected parties are compensated fairly and in accordance with local laws and project guidelines.
  • Facilitating Land Title Transfers: Oversee the legal processes involved in transferring land titles and resolving any legal disputes related to land ownership.
  • Documentation: Maintain a well-organized database of all land-related records, including land titles, compensation agreements, and correspondence with landowners or stakeholders.
  • Progress Reports: Prepare regular reports on the progress of land acquisition activities, including any challenges encountered and resolutions proposed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in construction, traffic management, or road maintenance.
  • Legal Knowledge: A strong understanding of land law, property rights, and regulatory frameworks related to land acquisition.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively negotiate and communicate with landowners, government officials, and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to address and resolve land-related challenges efficiently.
  • Project Management: Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Local Culture: Familiarity with the local culture and practices, especially when dealing with indigenous lands or rural communities.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Up to RM5,000.00 per month
