Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute short- and long-term sales strategies to achieve business targets, including sales route planning and new customer acquisition and market expansion initiatives.
  • Manage departmental budgets effectively, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost control and return on investment (ROI).
  • Assign and oversee sales territories setting budgets and cascading key performance indicators (KPIs). Monitor team performance, identify skill gaps, and implement or propose training programs to enhance productivity.
  • Lead and track sales activities, ensuring alignment with client budgets, market conditions and store call cycles. Adapt strategies to evolving trends and analyze competitor movements to maintain competitive edge.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms to facilitate sales agreements while maintaining targeted profit margins and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Access product gap and propose improvements, recommending new or enhanced product solutions based on customer feedback and market demands.
  • Analyze sales reports and forecast, identifying trends and insights to support strategic decision-making and business growth opportunities.
  • Continuously enhance sales processes, customer satisfaction and account receivables management to improve cash flow and collection efficiency.
  • Address complex customer issues proactively, implementing preventive measures to mitigate future risk and enhancing service recovery strategies.
  • Build and strengthen customer relationships, ensuring repeat business, brand loyalty andlong-term business partnership.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, product development and supply chain to align on client needs and leverage cross-industry opportunities and optimize inventory management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes and technological advancements,integrating innovative solutions into the sales strategy to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Identify and explore new market segments, assessing potential partnerships, distribution channels and digital transformation opportunities to expand reach.
  • Drive a high performance sales culture, setting clear goals, fostering accountability and recognizing achievements to motivate the team.
  • Seek out new sales opportunities by opening new accounts and follow through sales leads.
  • Ensuring brand presence and product availability.
  • Managing inventory levels.
  • Assisting in DSO/ debt collection.
  • Planning and execute promotional activities.
  • Regular sales report, related paperwork and etc.
  • To assist in other general assignments as may be required from time to time by management.

Requirements:

  • Degree or professional qualification in Business Studies/Marketing/Economics or a related discipline.
  • 5 to 8 years' experience in a similar role with 2 to 3 years' experience in a managerial capacity.
  • Experienced in general trade.
  • Highly motivates individual with positive work attitude.
  • Demonstrate good working knowledge and understanding of the industry and market.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
