Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute mechanical engineering work for rotating and package equipment, ensuring quality and compliance with project requirements.
  • Perform basic and detailed engineering for compressors, pumps, turbines, and material handling equipment.
  • Develop engineering specifications, mechanical datasheets, requisitions, and technical bid evaluations.
  • Review vendor documents and ensure seamless coordination with other engineering disciplines.
  • Provide essential data for other teams, including construction, electrical loads, and field instructions.
  • Support proposal development for mechanical scope of work.
  • Assist in installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities at project sites.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 7-10 years of experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry (EPC/EPCM experience is an advantage).
  • Strong expertise in rotating equipment (compressors, pumps, turbines).
  • Experience in package equipment (boilers, cooling towers, material handling equipment) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of API, ASME codes, and Client standards (Petronas PTS, Shell DEP).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Registered with BEM (Board of Engineers Malaysia).
  • Willing to relocate to project sites temporarily for installation, testing, and commissioning work.
