Sales Development Representative - Demand Generation
sa.global is looking for a driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to accelerate our growth by identifying new sales opportunities with mid-market and enterprise clients in their digital transformation. As the first line of communication with a prospect, the ideal SDR has a strong understanding of the sales process and excels at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting up Business Development Managers (BDMs) to successfully close deals. The SDR should be a quick learner who has strong and effective communication skills and an ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way. Every potential customer has an opportunity to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels, and profitability. Areas of Responsibility
- Represent the company’s products and services, using comprehensive knowledge as well as consumer research to explain how our solutions meet customer needs to fuel their digital transformation
- Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding potential new sales opportunities
- Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage sales executives in next steps
- Identify best practices for refining the company’s lead-generation strategies
- Utilize Microsoft CRM, 6Sense, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, cold calls, and email to generate new sales opportunities
- Identify the business needs of prospects, and suggest appropriate products or services to match
- Prospect call preparation including company background research and other pertinent lead information
- Build long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
- Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and BDMs
- Report weekly, monthly, and quarterly results to Sales Manager
- Identify customer's buying trends and provide reports to management
- Enter, update, and maintain CRM information on leads, prospects, and opportunities
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in a Sales Development Representative role (or similar), ideally within the Microsoft Partner channel with Microsoft Dynamics – BC and / or F&O.
- Industry knowledge is advantageous, especially in service based industries
- Demonstrated experience in familiarisation with vertical solutions and how that impact the industries they serve
- Experience making dozens of calls per day, working with partners, scheduling meetings, generating leads, generating interest, qualifying prospects, and closing sales
- Experience and understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 products
- Solid understanding of the concepts around wider Microsoft technologies
- Commercially minded, with the ability to understand business drivers and risks involved in how organisations work, and translating those to upselling opportunities
- A strong desire to learn, take on feedback, and develop
- Proven track-record of identifying sales opportunities and converting leads
- Demonstrates enthusiasm and proactively seeks opportunities to improve accounts
- Demonstrates commitment to the role, team, and company, and goes the extra mile when needed
- Excellent professional qualities including resilience, strong written and oral communication skills, well-organised, results-driven attitude, and self-starter
