The Priority Banking Relationship Manager is responsible to establish and build valuable long-term customer relationships with HLB Priority Banking customers where professionalism, client focus and an expert understanding of financial advisory and wealth products are critical to the success of the business. This job role has a responsibility to acquire, develop and deepen customer relationships with a portfolio of Priority Banking customers. This role is to report to the Area Manager for Priority Banking.

Functional (job responsibilities)

  • Act as a strategic consultative advisor to HLB Priority Banking (PB) customers, to develop a long term and in-depth customer relationship with the customers while generating revenue and meeting HLB Priority Banking business goals.
  • Active acquisition and prospecting of new Priority Banking customers, expand new customer base through referrals or internal leads generated by MIS team.
  • Consistently contribute to the bottom-line of Priority Banking through the accomplishment of personal and team profit and growth targets.
  • Work with Product Owners, Investment Consultants and specialist teams to offer proactive and personalized financial services to the Priority Banking customers
  • Up-sell and cross-sell suitable HLB products based on customers’ needs and financial goals; provide market information updates and trend analysis timely and regularly to customers.
  • Conduct all sales and services activities within the risk & compliance parameters as defined from time to time by the bank.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and contribute to the overall customer experience of HLB Priority Banking.

Organizational (organizational responsibilities)

  • Collaborate and build strong working relationships not only within the Priority Banking Centre, but other business partners such as Branch Banking, Business and Commercial Banking and stakeholders in Head Office.
  • Support PB Area Manager in promoting and developing market presence in the communities, this will ultimately deliver the individual’s and overall Priority Banking Center target.

Education/Qualification

  • Minimum Diploma or Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Banking/Investment/Finance or a related field from any recognized colleges or university.
  • CFP qualification is preferred, but not compulsory for application.

Experience

  • For Executive position: minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in a financial institution
  • For Asst. Manager/Manager position: minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in a financial institution
  • Proven sales track record.

Special Skills

  • Sound financial knowledge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated and result-driven
  • Team player and able to work independently.

Certification / Licensing Requirements

  • Meet and must at all times comply with BNM Fit and Proper criteria to carry out the duties assigned.
  • Possess valid licenses such as IPPC, FIMM, PCE, CEILLI, TBE, etc
