Job Responsibilities

  1. Provide in-depth and timely credit risk assessment for SME and Retail Credit (Mortgage, Hire Purchase and Credit Card) applications with mitigation and recommendations to enable credit decision-makers to formulate a well-informed decision, with the objective of satisfying borrowers' needs and protecting the Bank's asset quality.
  2. Ensure compliance of the Bank's credit policies, applicable rules and regulations, guidelines & procedures while maintaining a balance in promoting profitable business growth and preserving asset quality.
  3. Attend to various requests from Lending Units/Branches within the agreed turnaround time.
  4. Work closely with the Lending Units/Branches in risk identification and mitigation, be the point of reference for credit related matters and to guide the Lending Officers in credit structuring and mitigation where necessary.
  5. Provide coaching and guidance to Lending Units/Branches from time to time.
  6. Provide necessary support in matters related to credit and risk management infrastructure of the Bank.
  7. Other duties to be assigned by Head of Credit Evaluation Department and/or Senior Management.

Job Requirements

  • At least a Bachelor degree in finance, banking, accounting or equivalent from a reputable university. Possesses the professional credit certifications such as PCC, CCE, BCP or equivalent will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of banking/ financial institution experience in credit analysis or loan origination.
  • Strong credit analytical skills and business acumen.
  • Familiar with relevant banking rules and regulations/ guidelines.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of staff and Senior Management.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision and strives to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Work, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Language proficiency (both verbal and written): English, Chinese/ Mandarin and Bahasa Melayu.
