Job Summary
Reporting to the General Manager of Southeast Asia, Australia & New Zealand (SEA/ANZ), incumbent will be responsible in largely 2 key areas as follow:
Store Development - Shop Fitting and Project Planning
- Working closely with SEA business partners on new store opening, store refit and store closing, ensuring completion within the project timeline and accordance with the guidelines from Clarks International
Visual Merchandising
- To implement effective visual merchandising in retail stores (own retail, business partners and distributors) in accordance with the guidelines from Clarks international and ensuring delivery of Clarks brand image

Impact: This individual contributor role will be accountable in supporting end-to-end visual merchandising and retail project management effort to own and partners’ brick and mortar stores.
Responsibilities:
Shop Fitting and Planning
- In charge of new store opening, store refit and store closing planning for Clarks, business partners and distributors in SEA markets
- Review proposed business lot with business partners before proceed for approval
- Work closely with UK Planning team in designing and proposing furniture layout as according to guideline and finalised layout
- Manage shop fit cost, i.e. renovation cost, furniture and lighting fittings for each project.
- Prepare a complete Appraisal Pack for all new stores in SEA Markets
- Coordinate with appointed project consultant and design fit-out department in the shopping mall for comments and approval of drawing
- Manage contractors on site in order to complete the project within the timeline given
- Work closely with vendor and forwarder to ensure delivery of quality furnitures accordingly to project timeline to meet store opening date
- Ensure shop fitting well-maintained and provide support in maintenance as and when needed
- Work closely with Customer Operations on local customs clearance, GST and duties rate confirmation for store unitary and compliance of rules and regulations
IFS Store Opening
- Timely delivery
- Accordance with the guidelines from Clarks International
Visual Merchandising
- Design and create special displays props, floor plan for seasonal promotions, new opening stores, pops-up store, special event and brand standard
- Ensure the availability and high quality of all merchandising materials to align visual goals
- Develop VM/retail guideline on schedule for seasonal launch
- Supervise vendors (props & furnitures) to ensure the quality meets brand standard
- Oversea SEA markets to ensure VM are up to global standard as require from UK
- Successful roll-out of given SD and VM guidelines from UK and to support the targeted focus product groups in the right brand tone and image
- Ensure in-store displays are in line with driving maximum sales potential of selected focus products
- Attractive display product presentation
- Trade customers receive all POSMs on time and all POS are rolled out on time.
- Allocation of all POSM are sufficient for all stores in the right proportion
- Ensure product display are in line with desired focus on target product groups, and right products are at the right display
- Respond appropriately to queries from trade customers on VM displays and POS applications
- Ensure set up of ad hoc activities are as per requirement and effectively implemented
- Ensure processes comply to internal Clarks standard and of local legislation
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Architecture, Retail Design or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in a retail brand organisation
- Experience working in a Multi-National Corporation (MNC)
- Strong written and verbal English and a secondary Asian language
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and guidance
- Strong Project Management skills
- Strong IT skills; proficient user of Microsoft office programs
- SD and VM experience
- Understanding of shoes business
- Reasonable level of artistic flair
- Sharp visual awareness skills

- Experienced in in-store merchandise planning
- Ability to multi-task and to handle last-minute changes in a fast-paced retailing environment
