Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead and manage Data Centre projects within our Design Consultancy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design management, project execution, stakeholder coordination, and team leadership. This role requires extensive experience in Data Centre design, ensuring project success from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, design, and execution of Data Centre projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and consultants, to develop innovative design solutions.
  • Act as the primary liaison between clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, best practices, and sustainability standards in Data Centre design.
  • Provide strategic direction and technical expertise in the development of high-performance, resilient, and energy-efficient data centres.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage project financials, including budgeting, cost control, and contract negotiations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in design processes and project delivery methodologies.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in design consultancy with a strong focus on Data Centre projects.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale, complex design projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of Data Centre standards, infrastructure, and critical systems (MEP, cooling, power distribution, and security).
  • Familiarity with Uptime Institute Tier Standards, ASHRAE guidelines, and international design codes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead high-performance teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and design software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications such as Chartered Engineer (CEng), LEED AP, Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer (ATD), or equivalent.
  • Experience working in international markets and with hyperscale or colocation data centre clients
