The Director, Human Resources plays a critical role in aligning the HR strategy with business goals to support rapid expansion. This leader will focus on HR business partnering, strategic workforce planning, and operational excellence, ensuring the company attracts, develops, and retains top talent in a competitive landscape.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives and drive growth.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to management, providing guidance on talent management, organizational design, and workforce planning.
  • Advice on the formulation of HR plan for a variety of HR matters such as employee relations, industrial relations, union issues and other HR administrative related matters.
  • Implement HR policies and best practices that comply with local regulations and support the company’s high-growth trajectory.
  • Provide proactive resourcing HR advice and guidance in relation to coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions and mitigation for solution and corrective action from time to time based on Audit, Risk and Compliance finding.
  • Lead the team in providing full employee life cycle service from onboarding to separation management in partnership with the rest of the HR CoEs (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Talent Development)
  • Drive a culture of continuous feedback and performance excellence and ensure effective performance review processes that promote engagement and productivity.
  • Champion company values and initiatives to build a positive, high-performance culture.
  • Implement talent strategies to attract and retain top industry talent.
  • Support leadership through periods of change, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
  • Lead HR initiatives related to scaling operations, mergers/acquisitions, or expansions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Master’s degree or relevant HR certification will be an advantage.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in high-growth technology, or real estate industries.
  • Strong business acumen with a proactive, strategic mindset.
  • Proven ability to manage complex HR operations and lead HR transformation initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of Malaysian and/or Asia labor laws and HR compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with leadership and engage with all levels of the organization.
  • Cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively in a diverse, international environment.
  • Proficiency in using HR software and Microsoft applications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
