Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee the payroll operations of the company, ensuring accurate salary disbursements, compliance with Malaysian labor laws, and efficient payroll processing. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of payroll systems, taxation, and statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB) while maintaining strict confidentiality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysia’s Employment Act 1955, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and PCB (Monthly Tax Deduction).
- Prepare and submit statutory reports (e.g., Form EA, Form E, CP21, CP22) to relevant authorities.
- Oversee payroll audits, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Implement and optimize payroll systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Supervise payroll staff, ensuring adherence to policies and best practices.
- Handle bonus, overtime, commission, and allowance calculations.
- Address and resolve employee payroll inquiries and disputes.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity of payroll data.
- Collaborate with Finance and HR teams for payroll budgeting and workforce planning.
- Stay updated on payroll-related legal and tax changes to ensure compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in payroll processing, with preferably 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian payroll laws and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., AutoCount, HR2000).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential payroll data.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with employees, finance teams, and government authorities.
