SENIOR TECHNICIANS – WAFER BACKEND PROCESS
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for sustaining & improving the wafer backend/coating process
- Execute process engineering tasks & support production to meet process KPIs – Output, Quality & Scrap Cost
- Monitor, maintain and qualify process, equipment/tools/fixtures for production used
- Perform periodic verification and process related disposition
- Experience with wafer backend process is a significant advantage for this position, as it will enhance the candidate's ability to achieve precise and accurate equipment setups.
- Observational skills to notice discrepancies, understand the manufacturing process in detail, troubleshooting at an appropriate level and involving senior members of staff
- Communication skill to communicate and interface well with peers, enhance teamwork
- Emotional intelligence
- Derive Continual Improvement and use of resources
- Performing any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time.
- Program, troubleshoot and maintain manufacturing process equipment as required to meet the required yield target
- Diploma of Engineering preferably majoring in Mechatronics/Mechanical/Electrical.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in semiconductor industries, preferably 8 years’ experience working in high mix and high-volume manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
- Willing to work on 12-hours shift, independently and able to solve basic technical issues.
- Good computer literacy, SPC & OPAC knowledge.
- Must exhibit a strong sense of analytical skills with hands on working attitude.
- Adaptable and flexible to rapid changes to the business needs of the company.
- Good knowledge of mechanical dimensioning & tolerancing analysis, poka-yoke principles will be an added advantage.
- Experience in semiconductor wafer backend manufacturing processes is preferred - Coating/Die Saw/Scribe/Cleave process
- Assist engineers & perform any duties as directed by the immediate supervisor from time to time.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To ensure all equipment are in good working condition, evaluation completed as per instruction and schedule as well as daily or shiftly products meet schedule. Accountable to Equipment Engineering Manager.
- Do ' whatever it takes' to meet or exceed our customers' expectation in compliance with the Quality Policy.
- Troubleshooting and repairing equipment. Perform PM on equipments to minimize unscheduled downtime.
- Supervise DL to meet daily or shiftly volume. Improving process and equipment to ensure highest possible performance hence optimize cycle time.
- Maintaining and improving yield on current and new products.
- Ensure quality products manufactured per schedule.
- Compliance to ISO Requirements, company rules & regulations, applicable codes etc.
- Derive Continual Improvement. Practice Risk Base Thinking in planning and execution of task.
- Performing any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time.
- Ensure compliance to Safety, ESD, Cleanroom and Housekeeping guidelines.
- Diploma in Engineering preferably majoring in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer or Software
- Experience working in semiconductor Wafer Backend manufacturing equipment - Coating/Die Saw/Scribe/Cleave Equipment
- Understanding of electronics. Knowledge in photonics and optical transceivers are an advantage.
- With good computer literacy, good communication skill and reporting of information and data.
- Willing to work on 12-hours shift, work independently and work with support teams as needed.
- Responsible for tooling modification, parts maintenance & workshop function.
- Responsible for equipment setup, trouble shoot, process improvement of the specific technical area.
- Assist engineers & perform any duties as directed by the immediate supervisor from time to time.

- Practice Risk Base Thinking in planning and execution of task.
