System Engineer (Linux Admin) (BPO)
Responsibilities:
- Design, Implement and maintain open-source email servers for the whole apac
- Involvement in vendor/product selection to qualify the product to meet the organization’s enterprise email requirements
- Installs, configures, documents, and maintains Open-Source Email Platform.
- Schedules and performs installations & upgrades as needed.
- Maintains assigned system security and backup/recovery procedures.
- Troubleshoots problems associated with the assigned server, Linux operating systems, and the email applications for APAC.
- Resolves problems or escalates for further support.
- Provides recommendations for hardware, systems software, and capacity budgeting & planning.
- Evaluates new and existing application software products. Recommends upgrades or new purchases.
- Develops, tests, and documents disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Degree Information Technology, Systems, or a related field.
- Any 2 certifications below:
o CompTIA Linux+
o Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA),
o Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Linux
o Professional Institute Certification (LPIC)
o SUSE Certified Administrator (SCA)
o Oracle Linux 8 Administrator Certified Associate
o Ubuntu Certified Professional
o Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS)
o AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (for cloud-focused Linux admins)
- Experience in deploying open-source email platforms for enterprise use
- Additional Requirements: Experience in deploying Open source email servers for enterprise or personal use, having experience in deploying iRedMail will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of protocols, such as DNS, HTTP/S, LDAP, SMTP, and SNMP
- Experience in DB2, MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL and OpenLDAP
