Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and conduct CMEs, training and demonstrations (pre-sales activities) on in-vitro diagnostic products, including PCR kits, thermocyclers, nucleic acid extraction systems, rapid test kits, Point-of-Care Testing systems, biochemistry and immunoassay analysers.
  • Conduct on-site product validation and evaluation.
  • Arrange appointments with researchers, lecturers, professors, doctors, pharmacists, hospital medical teams, researchers and academia, which may include pre-arranged appointment or regular cold calling.
  • Make presentations to academia, researchers, doctors, pharmacists in the retail sector, hospital doctors, university and research institutions.
  • Provide post-sales supports, including but not limited to troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Work together with service engineers to sort out PPM, repair, calibration and other technical issues.
  • Keep detailed records of all contacts.
  • Plan the work schedules and weekly and monthly timetables.
  • Regularly attend company meetings, technical data presentations and briefing.
  • Maintain knowledge of new development in the research and international and national health service, anticipating potential negative and positive impacts on the business and adapting strategy accordingly.
  • Develop strategies for increasing opportunities to meet and talk to contacts in the research institution, university, medical and healthcare sector.
  • Staying informed about the activities of research and healthcare services in a particular area.
  • Work with team managers and sales team to plan how to approach contacts with effective business plans, training and evaluation protocols for making sales in a particular area.
  • Work with sales team to gather market information and conduct market intelligence with the sales team to identify new opportunities.
  • Brainstorming marketing strategies from the product technical perspectives.
  • Analysis on IVD products to gather information on products in the market, and keep organised records of marketing metrics.
  • Coordinate with the marketing design and content teams to generate digital and print advertising material (e.g. brochures and newsletters).
  • Conduct both internal product training as well as marketing training to the sales team.
  • Perform special tasks upon request from team manager and/or Operations Director.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in related fields, i.e. Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, etc.
  • Candidates with a Master’s degree or higher, or those with more than two years of hands-on experience with molecular products, will be given preference.
  • At least two years of experience in a supportive role or as a Medical Laboratory Technologist in the diagnostic or medical industry.
  • Must have Molecular background.
  • Possesses analytical skills to perform troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Independent and highly motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Self-driven and result-oriented.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
