Job Summary
The HR Payroll Operations Lead is responsible for assisting the HR Director in managing all aspects of Payroll Operations within the Malaysia Human Resources (EBSC Malaysia – HR) organization. This role oversees global service delivery, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and continuous process improvements.
Job ResponsibilitiesOperational Excellence & HR Solutions
- Drive operational excellence in delivering HR solutions by collaborating with country HR, Corporate HR, and other functional teams.
- Lead continuous process improvements and participate in key global HR projects to enhance HR operations.
Payroll Operations
- Oversee regional payroll, time & attendance, and statutory processing to ensure compliance with legal, fiscal, and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a key partner in centralized personnel cost management and forecasting.
Process Efficiency & Automation
- Serve as the Global/Regional Process Owner for assigned processes defined by Corporate HR.
- Align global teams by establishing common ways of working, process improvements, and standardization initiatives.
- Review existing processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to address operational needs and ensure compliance.
- Act as the Point of Contact for automation initiatives assigned by Corporate Office.
- Influence and partner with business leaders to drive process, system, and organizational changes.
Service Delivery
- Ensure team members meet performance metrics and maintain high service standards.
- Investigate and resolve complex HR issues related to policies, processes, and practices.
- Plan and oversee the transition of HR processes to the EBSC - Malaysia HR team.
- Manage HR customer service and operational delivery for regional HR customers, monitoring inquiries, satisfaction levels, and escalated support.
- Ensure full compliance with audits, certifications, and payroll operations in EBSC Malaysia HR.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources (additional HR certifications are an advantage).
- 10 to 12 years of overall HR experience, with at least 7 years in an HR Shared Services environment, including centralized payroll administration and operations.
- Minimum 3 years of managerial experience, leading a team of 5 - 10 members.
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) is an added advantage.
- Experience leading and driving service migration projects in a matrixed organization.
- Strong expertise in HR Operations, including but not limited to:

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM13,000.00 per month
