
Commercial Executive - Data Center Construction (KL office)
Job Summary
The Commercial Executive is responsible for overseeing commercial operations, contract management, cost control, and business negotiations to ensure profitability and compliance with company policies. This role involves managing tenders, procurement, financial analysis, and stakeholder negotiations to drive business growth. Work closely with project teams, finance, legal, and senior management to optimize commercial strategies and ensure financial sustainability.
Job responsibilities:-
Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, tenders, and procurement agreements.
Ensure compliance with contractual terms, legal standards, and company policies.
Monitor contract performance and address variations, claims, and disputes.
Analyze project costs, budgets, and expenditures to optimize profitability.
Implement cost-saving initiatives and financial risk assessments.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
Ensure best-value procurement while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
Support senior management in developing commercial strategies to enhance revenue.
Conduct market research, risk analysis, and feasibility studies for new opportunities.
Manage relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Handle commercial negotiations and issue resolution professionally.
Work with finance teams to ensure accurate billing and revenue forecasting.
Collaborate with internal teams to align business goals with financial performance.
Prepare reports, presentations, and commercial proposals for management review.

Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, Management.
- 2–4 years of experience in administrative or commercial roles, preferably in the construction or consultancy industry.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of construction law, and contract administration.
- Experience in handling claims, disputes, and contract negotiations.
- Excellent knowledge of regulatory compliance in construction.
Soft Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic knowledge of project management tools.
- High attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of tender processes and commercial operations is an advantage.
Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6pm

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
