Job Purpose:

The Project Manager will oversee and coordinate the full life cycle of projects, from planning and design to completion. This role involves managing resources, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Accountabilities:

Design & Planning:

  • Participate in the design stage of the project, provide effective design suggestions, and offer construction solutions while reviewing construction drawings.
  • Familiarize with the relevant contracts and manage the project in accordance with the terms of the contract.

Project Management & Coordination:

  • Monitor and report to the Assistant General Manager on project details, including progress, risks, and opportunities in a timely manner.
  • Manage the day-to-day project activities and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Coordinate with various teams, including architecture, structure, infrastructure, landscape, fit-out, and plumbing.

Scope & Compliance:

  • Oversee the implementation of the scope of work related to construction/fabrication, pre-commissioning, load-out, and commissioning of facilities, ensuring conformance to project specifications, scope of work, and approved project schedule.
  • Responsible for engineering design changes, progress reports, drawing review minutes, engineering verification sheets, construction organization design, and project payment progress review.

Project Stages & Documentation:

  • Organize different stages of sample acceptance, concealed acceptance, intermediate acceptance, completion acceptance, and final handover with the property team.
  • Review as-built materials, as-built drawings, and professional certificates required at the job site.
  • Ensure all changes to specifications, work scope, and drawings are properly documented.

Quality Control & Problem Solving:

  • Responsible for quality control and project coordination during the construction process.
  • Monitor construction productivity and schedule performance, investigating reasons for any underperformance. Provide recommendations and implement measures for improvement by modifying operating procedures or work instructions.
  • Analyze and resolve issues on-site, offering construction management solutions.

Resource & Safety Management:

  • Review man-hours and forecast durations to completion for construction, ensuring effective resource allocation.
  • Adhere to Company Safety Standards and promote a culture of safety throughout the Company.

Ad-hoc Duties:

  • Perform additional duties and manage special projects as required by management.

Job Specifications:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in engineering fieldwork, site construction management, property development or design.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience in large-scale construction projects is highly preferred.
  • Familiar with national and local construction regulations.
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledgeable in authority submission processes, CCC, and QLASSIC.
  • Strong understanding of contract administration and legal requirements.

Skills:

  • Strong independent working skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
