As a Value Stream Lead, This Position Supports The Complete Product Life Cycle From Phase 0 (Concept) To Phase 4 (Obsolescence.) Responsibilities May Include The Following:

As a Value Stream Lead, This Position Supports The Complete Product Life Cycle From Phase 0 (Concept) To Phase 4 (Obsolescence.) Responsibilities May Include The Following:
- Sustaining manufacturing operations, including production support, quality improvement, and project management, such as cost reduction, inventory reduction, and sourcing change.
- Lead strategic planning for Test, Manufacturing, and Sourcing Strategies.
The Production Lead is responsible for ensuring a safe work environment, driving quality improvements, providing premier customer service, developing a technically qualified work workforce.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Customer focus
- Instill and maintain a sense of urgency and customer focus within Manufacturing.
- Prioritize production in line with customer service requirements and revenue goals.
- Drive continuous improvement of on-time shipments of systems, accessories and service parts
- Promote a quality-focused culture.
- Ensure workmanship standards exist for all operations and that they are followed at all times.
- Ensure responsibilities under the quality system are met.
- Ensure policies, procedures and programs are implemented throughout Manufacturing.
- Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are thoroughly investigated and resultant actions completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure staff is trained in all relevant procedures and policies.
- Ensure compliance with pertinent environmental health and safety procedures within their individual manufacturing operations areas.
- Supervise staff in a manner that will facilitate high-performance in line with standards of leadership.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and a clear identifiable work ethos.
- Act as mentor both in a formal and informal manner.
- Ensure adequate tools are in place to effectively manage manpower.
- Actively participate and assist in selection and recruitment of new employees.
- Complete performance appraisals and interim reviews in a timely manner.
- Develop both team and individual goals and objectives and measure actual performance against them, providing timely and honest feedback on performance even in difficult situations.
- Keep the management team informed of issues and concerns in a timely manner.
- Create opportunities to reward and recognize success of teams and individuals.
- Ensure results are maintained and displayed a timely basis.
- Development of Manufacturing Documentation, Identification of Tooling, and Test Fixture requirements. Develop or work with Engineering to develop required tooling and test fixtures.
- Identify and execute on opportunities for Gross Margin improvements.
- Assist in projects related to Best Cost Manufacturing and aligned with business objectives. Examples may include Insourcing, Outsourcing, and/or Cost Reductions.
- Lead product ownership from Proof of Manufacturing through Obsolescence.
- BOM Maintenance, Engineering Changes, Design Improvements, Lean Manufacturing

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
To Be Successful In This Position, You Must:
- Have a thorough understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes, assembly and production methods.
- Have a thorough understanding of production planning, scheduling, purchasing, and inventory control.
- Be comfortable managing high levels of pressure while delivering results.
- Able to understand the key system constraints.
- Able to spot critical process issues quickly.

- Bachelor or master’s in engineering or science field of study ie in Mechanical, Electrical, Physics, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years current experience preferred, in Mechanical and automation assembly designs, including Manufacturing Engineering background using DFMA/DFx process for design and fabrication.
- Min 3 years of experience as production lead/supervisor or project leadership
- Excellent PC skills, especially Excel, SAP and other relevant application
- Strong background in Manufacturing Engineering and Visual/imaging product
