We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Receiving Assistant to manage our store operations effectively. The ideal candidate will ensure the cleanliness and efficiency of our store and receiving areas, maintain inventory standards, and support our purchasing and finance teams. This role is crucial to maintaining the high standards and smooth operation of our hotel’s inventory system.

Job Description:

  • Monitor and ensure cleanliness in both the store and receiving areas.
  • Ensure all working equipment in the store and receiving area is functional and in good condition.
  • Monitor and maintain workflow standards in both the main store and receiving department.
  • Verify that invoice prices match agreed-upon purchasing prices and submit invoices to Cost Control/Finance.
  • Assist purchasing by following up on orders with suppliers.
  • Issue stock, organize stock shelves, and ensure proper storage.
  • Update bin cards, computer files, and post invoices. Handle approved requisitions and maintain accurate records.
  • Follow up on stock levels and report to the Senior Receiving Officer. Update and maintain par stock in the main store.
  • Raise main store stock order requests via the Material Control (MC) system and assist in ordering approved stock requests.
  • Must be able to lift and carry heavy items.

Job Requirement:

  • Fresh graduate with a high school diploma or equivalent; relevant coursework in mathematics is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficient in handling inventory systems and basic math.
  • Malaysian citizen or holder of a valid spouse visa
