Those working as assistants and office support at PwC will provide high-level administrative support to senior executives, including managing their schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling confidential information. You will play a crucial role in maintaining smooth operations and effective communication within the organisation.

Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Coordinate, manage, and monitor a team of young professionals.

  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, trends, and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of Center of Excellence initiatives and identify areas for improvement.

  • Improve the efficiency of support services and facilitate coordination and communication between support functions.

  • Resolve issues that prevent effective team working, even during times of change and uncertainty.

Strategic Planning

  • Foster strong relationships and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activities.

  • Assist to analyze complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations.

  • Use multiple sources of information, including broader stakeholder views, to develop solutions and recommendations.

Policy and Procedure Development

  • Assist in establishing policies and procedures aligned with MYHC policies to promote the firm’s culture and vision.

Employee Growth Initiatives

  • Assist to coach the team and encourage them to take ownership of their development.

Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or any other relevant disciplines and/or a professional accounting qualification.

  • Minimum 6 years of experience with a proven track record of success in driving operational excellence and leading teams, preferably within the Tax or Assurance function.

  • Relevant experience in International corporate tax or Malaysian corporate tax is an added advantage.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability and willingness to keep up-to-date with Tax technical developments.

  • Experience managing a large team of more than 15 members.

  • Experience coaching and providing guidance to team members.
