- Lead all transport operations to deliver a cost-effective, high-quality service to outlets aligned to local transport regulations and accommodating the variables in demand.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards (GMP, HACCP and ISO22000)
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse processes
Inventory Control:
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock audits to ensure accuracy.
- Manage inventory tracking systems and ensure proper documentation for all incoming and outgoing products.
- Ensuring stock management based on FIFO standards.
- Coordinate with production and procurement teams to align inventory levels with manufacturing needs.
Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, ensuring they adhere to safety and operational protocols.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration among staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of food products.
- Conduct regular safety training and drills for warehouse staff.
- Identify and mitigate potential hazards in the warehouse environment.
Process Improvement:
- Analyze warehouse operations and identify areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize warehouse layout and workflow.
- Utilize technology and software to enhance inventory management and reporting.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and warehouse activities.
- Prepare and present reports on warehouse performance metrics to senior management.
