  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including but not limited to receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping of food products.
  • Lead all transport operations to deliver a cost-effective, high-quality service to outlets aligned to local transport regulations and accommodating the variables in demand.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards (GMP, HACCP and ISO22000)
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse processes

Inventory Control:

  • Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage inventory tracking systems and ensure proper documentation for all incoming and outgoing products.
  • Ensuring stock management based on FIFO standards.
  • Coordinate with production and procurement teams to align inventory levels with manufacturing needs.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, ensuring they adhere to safety and operational protocols.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration among staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of food products.
  • Conduct regular safety training and drills for warehouse staff.
  • Identify and mitigate potential hazards in the warehouse environment.

Process Improvement:

  • Analyze warehouse operations and identify areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize warehouse layout and workflow.
  • Utilize technology and software to enhance inventory management and reporting.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and warehouse activities.
  • Prepare and present reports on warehouse performance metrics to senior management.
