Chef de Partie Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Oversee the preparation and cooking of dishes
- Ensure food is prepared and presented in accordance with the cafe’s standard .
- Manage, train, and guide commis chefs and junior kitchen staff to ensure high standards are met.
- Monitor stock levels and manage inventory within your section.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your work area at all times.
- Work closely with the owners of the cafe to develop new dishes and improve existing recipes.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist in menu planning and the preparation of specials.
- Help with opening and closing procedures of the kitchen.
Commis Chef Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Assist the Chef de Partie and senior chefs with food preparation and cooking.
- Ensure all ingredients and kitchen tools are ready for the day’s service.
- Follow recipes and kitchen instructions to prepare dishes according to the cafe's standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
- Assist in stocking and inventory control.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of food items to meet food safety standards.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations during opening and closing hours.
- Continuously learn and develop new culinary techniques under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
- Minimum education is Secondary School / SPM
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
