DESIGN ENGINEER

1) Receive Technical drawing / Engineering Change Notice from customer i) Record receiving items in customer supplied item record. ii) Scan and print customer drawing to Internal drawing. iii) Scan and print customer drawing for QA use. iv) Plan, arrange, monitor and follow up design work progress 2) Identify Specification and prepare Internal drawing i) Drawing comparison check to identify changing points ii) Identify circuits for appropriate model application (for drawing with common part number). iii) Check and convert wire harness parts from customer number to SWS part name / numbers. iv) Insert required information’s (eg material code and name) in Internal drawings. 3) Computer data Input i) Input Circuit information’s -- circuit name, wire type, size and colour ii) Identify appropriate materials to be used in the design data iii) Identify splice position and splice group. iv) Input harness design according to customer drawing v) Input design data according to Design data checking flow and vi) Issue unknown point confirmation sheet (UPCS) to development team if found abnormal item for solution. vii) Close Unknown Point Confirmation Sheet (UPCS) status by design team 4) Quotation i) Arrange and coordinate quotation preparation 5) Design Data Checking i) Self-check HBS-CAD Data according to checklist and checking procedure manual. ii) Upload data into Syteline System iii) Conduct 1st and 2nd check for HBS-CAD Data according to checklist and checking procedure manual. 6) Prepare Production Documents. i) Prepare splice instruction sheets. ii) Prepare special wire instruction sheet. iii) Prepare sub assembly instruction sheets. iv) Prepare sub assembly instruction groups and design for Air \ bag sub wires 7) Recheck Production Document i) Check splice position and cutting length for joint wires ii) Check sub assembly sheets for circuit location, circuit and materials used in each group. 8) Prepare Modification Notice i) Prepare modification notice consists of circuit, position & parts modification. ii) Up-date and check drawing. iii) Up-date and check Splice sheet. iv) Up-date and check Assembly sheet. v) Up-date and check Material BOM vi) Up-date and check Variant List vii) Up-date and check Summarized Standard Time. 9) Database Handling and Transferring i) Submit HBS trouble report using GHD system ii) Import cut and crimp data to C&C system iii) Ensure new material is registered in ERP system (Syteline) iv) Import BOM to ERP system (Syteline) vii) Ensure imported data and registered information in Syteline is correct viii) Prepare 3S data using 3S system
