Key Responsibilities Baking & Food Preparation Prepare and bake bread, pastries, cakes, and other bakery products. Follow recipes and maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation. Experiment with new recipes and improve existing ones based on customer preferences. Ingredient Management & Inventory Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes. Monitor ingredient stock levels and place orders when needed. Ensure proper storage of ingredients to maintain freshness. Kitchen Hygiene & Safety Compliance Maintain cleanliness in the bakery area, including equipment and workstations. Follow food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000). Ensure proper handling and storage of perishable ingredients. Team Supervision & Collaboration Work closely with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations. Train junior bakers or assistants on baking techniques and food safety. Coordinate with the front-of-house team to meet customer demands. Quality Control & Customer Satisfaction Conduct quality checks to ensure consistency in products. Innovate new bakery items to enhance menu offerings. Address customer feedback and make improvements as needed.
