Network Engineer

Key Roles & Responsibilities: • Involve in network design, planning and implementation of projects. • Communicates with internal team, customer and vendor during all stages of project. • Prepare project progress report and escalate issues that required management’s attention and decision. • Troubleshoot and resolve all network problems and outages. • Monitor network performance, scheduling upgrades and plan on network optimization. • Conduct testing / POC for new product. Network Design & Implementation • Assist in designing and implementing network configurations for cloud environments. Ensure smooth integration of network and cloud services to support business needs. • Collaborate with the Cloud Engineer to redesign and re-architect the network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability for both on-premise and cloud-based systems. • Perform regular maintenance on network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues promptly to minimize downtime. • Maintain a secure network infrastructure by implementing firewall rules, IDS/IPS systems, and monitoring for any network vulnerabilities. Work with security teams to ensure the network aligns with industry standards and regulatory requirements. • Continuously monitor network performance and optimize traffic flow to ensure low latency and high availability. Collaborate with the Cloud Engineer to optimize network performance within cloud environments. • Document network configurations, redesign processes, and maintenance activities. Provide regular status updates and performance reports to the IT and Cloud Engineering teams. • Work closely with IT, cloud engineering, and external vendors to ensure seamless network and cloud operations. Assist in implementing network changes and upgrades as part of ongoing digital transformation initiatives. Technical Skills • Experience with network protocols and technologies. Experience with VPNs, firewalls, and security protocols. • Familiarity with network hardware. • Familiarity with network monitoring tools. Qualifications and Requirements: • Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent. Certified in CCNA and CCNP is preferred. • 1+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering and experience with migration, integration projects. • Good knowledge in data communications, IP protocols and networking technologies. • Working experience with routers, L2 and L3 switches, gateways and networking servers.
