Internship Responsibilities As a Tax Intern, you will gain practical experience in tax-related tasks and financial compliance, including: i. Tax Preparation & Compliance • Assist in preparing tax computations and returns for individuals and businesses • Support in ensuring compliance with Malaysia’s Income Tax Act and other tax regulations • Help prepare and review estimated tax payments and supporting tax documents ii. Liaising with Authorities • Assist in communicating with the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) and other regulatory bodies • Help resolve tax-related queries, disputes, and compliance matters • Support in preparing documents for tax audits, appeals, and clarifications iii. Tax Documentation & Database Management • Assist in organizing and maintaining tax files, reports, and statements • Help manage and update tax databases to ensure accurate record-keeping • Support in preparing tax-related reports for internal and external use iv. Special Assignments & Research • Assist the manager in ad-hoc tax projects, including research on tax incentives, policies, and compliance strategies • Stay updated with latest tax regulations and assist in applying changes to tax procedures v.
