Operations & Shrimp Research Technical Specialist

Responsible for the following duties:- Laboratory & Research Management 1 Take on leadership role in laboratory operations, overseeing and coordinating scientific experiments. 2 Ensure compliance with research protocols and laboratory safety regulations. 3 Contribute to the development and enhancement of biological and ecological analysis techniques. 4 Conduct animal specimen preparation for analysis using precise and efficient methods. Hatchery & Shrimp Growth Management. 5 Responsible to provide methods to improve farm & hatchery productions, shrimp breeding and culture, improve product quality, production targets, reduce operation overhead, oversee and supervise overall farm and hatchery operations and provide technical know- how. 6 To collect data and carry out analysis on nauplii, post-larvae growth, shrimp growth, production, quality, mortality, infection, disease etc, provide recommendations, prevention methods and problem solving. 7 Plan and coordinate feed nutrition strategy for all stages of shrimp growth to produce healthier shrimp, to increase production, quality and cost efficiency. Biosecurity & Operational Safety 8 Enforce biosecurity protocols in hatchery and farm operations. 9 Ensure compliance with safety standards, laboratory hygiene, and environmental protection policies. 10 Manage equipment and machinery to maintain operational effectiveness and long-term sustainability. Training & Workforce Development 11 Conduct interactive training programs to enhance staff skills in hatchery operations and scientific research. 12 Foster a productive and innovative work culture among employees. 13 Manage resource allocation and budgeting for training and workforce development programs. Strategic Support & Ad-Hoc Management 14 Analyze operational performance data and propose improvements to enhance production efficiency. 15 Provide recommendations for new program development based on comprehensive research and analysis. 16 Handle additional tasks assigned by management to ensure smooth operations. Requirements: 1 Minimum of 10 years working experience in shrimp related sector. 2 Willingness to work in remote locations, for extended periods, dedicated and committed to 24/7 work environment. 3 The ability to work as part of a team, to tight deadlines as required. 4 Strong interpersonal skills and resourcefulness is an essential skills for problem solving and exercise good judgement. 5 Self-motivated, pro-active, organized and sense of responsibilities. 6 Positive working attitude.
