The senior chemist is responsible for: • Responsible for overall pesticide formulation projects/studies not limited to method validation, storage stability, 5 batch analysis and physical-chemical properties. • Read and understand study plan and appropriate Standard Operating Procedures applicable to the respective study. Subsequently responsible to comply with the instructions given in these documents. Any deviation from these instructions should be documented and communicated directly to the Study Director, and/or if appropriate, the Principal Investigator(s). • Optimizing turnaround time for samples whilst ensuring the highest quality of results is achieved and maintained. • Ensuring proper inventory of analytical standard/reference material • Ensuring proper storage and housekeeping of pesticide formulation samples • Other duties specified by the Laboratory Manager relating to this position. • Familiar and have good understanding on ISO 17025 guidelines especially data traceability • Familiar with method development and method validation process • Adequate analytical and chromatographic problem-solving skills • Enthusiastic, adaptable and willing to learn
