Job Description/Responsibilities: 1. To provide leadership in projects development, managing the business unit in furtherance of the company’s objectives. 2. Leads the department in implementing the strategic plan. Organize project team and assign responsibilities to his supporting manager/personnel for the performance of works and verification activities. 3. Oversees Construction planning efforts, including identifying major priorities, establishing goals and strategies that ensure the success of the project. 4. Work closed with Government Authorities to ensure smooth coordination. 5. Provides overall direction to ensure the safe delivery of quality construction projects on time and within budget. 6. Ensures that the JV projects are undertaken and profitable. 7. Ensures that all departmental staff, especially the key technical ones are professionally managed, mentored and developed as part of performance management practice. 8. Makes recommendations to the Group Executive Director on significant matters affecting the operations and policies. 9. Liaise with the VP Business Development in order to attract the support of Financial Institutions and solicits their cooperation in order to provide financing to company’s businesses and ensures its growth and independency. 10. Work closely with the architect, consultant, the client, suppliers and subcontractors to review and propose revisions to project requirements where necessary; discuss and propose solutions to problems capable of impending/had impeded progress of project with relevant parties. 11. Conduct technical and contractual review to ensure that the works is being executed in accordance with contract document. 12. Review periodically the performance of the works and subcontractor. 13. Take the lead of the entire site activities. 14. Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards. 15. Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all the sub-teams. Qualification and Experience 1. Possess Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or its equivalent. 2. 15 years’ experience in Construction Industry. 3. Effective written and verbal communication skills 4. A high sense of urgency with the ability to be agile and flexible.
