Sales Manager

1. Achieve monthly budget goals and new business targets 2. To be financially aware of the hotel’s objectives and do all possible to accomplish targets 3. To ensure hotel occupancy and average rate targets are sustained in line with projections detailed in the Annual Business Plan 4. To establish sales targets and highlight any variances with actual sales figures and recommend what action should be taken to remedy significant variances. 5. To resolve all discrepancies among the staff of his/her department. 6. To practice and promote the Dorsett Regency Hotel Philosophy and Values. 7. To maximize his/her personal contacts and inform Director of Sales of any discrepancies observed in style and culture. 8. To follow and enforce the policies and manual of Dorsett Regency Kuala Lumpur. 9. Considering his/her role as a representative of the Hotel, he/she will conduct himself/herself correctly in a professional manner, following always the “Philosophy and Values of Dorsett Regency International". 10. Set an example of honesty and professionalism inside and outside of the Hotel. 11. To ensure the profitability of his/her Department for short, medium and long term by assuming the total responsibility of the functions assigned to him/her with a special emphasis on increasing sales, reduce expenditure, preserve and maintain the assets. 12. Implements all sales action plans related to his/her market areas as outlined in the Marketing Plan. 13. Ensure that the Hotel’s computer system is continually up dated with companies profile, activity report, sales call report and that records are always correct and complete 14. Attends major travel functions (i.e. trade shows and promotional events) that deals specifically with his/her market areas. 15. Establishes and maintains files on major active accounts within his/her market areas. 16. Promotes and produces sales leads for other Dorsett Regency properties. 17. Applicants with proficiency in Mandarin have an added advantage.
