METAL FABRICATING SPECIALIST

JOB POSITION: METAL FABRICATING SPECIALIST STINIS MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. seeks a METAL FABRICATING SPECIALIST to help design test our planned upcoming projects with create dependable, hardworking products benefitting our company’s development. • Set up and operate machinery like rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, brakes, and shears to fabricate metal parts. • Perform TIG, MIG, and laser welding on stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel. • Operate and program fibre laser and laser cutting machines for metal fabrication. • Assist in estimating material and labour costs for fabrication projects. • Develop 3D CAD models of sheet metal parts • Convert 2D drawings into CNC-compatible programs for fabrication machines • Perform incremental forming, hemming, and coining for complex sheet metal parts. • Perform welding tasks to assemble metal components, ensuring strong and durable joints. • Analyse engineering drawings and blueprints to understand project requirements and plan fabrication processes accordingly • Create detailed plans for fabrication processes based on project requirements. • Work with (CAD) drawings to fabricate components accurately. • Create custom solutions for unique fabrication challenges. • Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines for precise fabrication tasks. • Cutting and Shaping Materials and shape metal components as per design specifications • Conduct quality checks on completed products to ensure they meet design specifications and standards. • Work closely with engineers, designers, and other fabricators to ensure project requirements are met efficiently. • Provide guidance and training to apprentices or less experienced fabricators. • Examine incoming materials for defects or deviations from specifications. • Ensure all fabricated products comply with industry standards and regulations. • Apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency. • Oversee specific fabrication projects from start to finish. • Use CNC machines for precise fabrication tasks. • Keep track of tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good condition. • Work with quality assurance teams to ensure product quality Required Skills: The required skills for the position METAL FABRICATING SPECIALIST are as follow: • Minimum 5 year’s experience in METAL FABRICATION and troubleshooting is necessary. • Candidate must possess relevant education certification. • Knowledge of MIG, TIG, and arc welding methods. • Must have knowledge in GD&T. • Understanding of CNC operations for precise fabrication. • Ability to troubleshoot fabrication issues and find effective solutions. • Ensuring precision in measurements, cuts, and assembly. • CAD Software Proficiency • Must possess relevant certification
