Job Summary Manage vendor quality and delivery performance to ensure the smooth supply. Work closely with the Production and R & D team to troubleshoot quality issues. Key Responsibilities • Manage vendor quality from development to mass production. • Monitor rejects from vendor and troubleshoot quality issues. Identify corrective action to be taken; supervise and monitor the implementation of the corrective action. • Implement continuous quality system improvement programmes. Review and identify areas for improvement. • Oversee vendor performance including improvement of quality of parts supplied. Conduct vendor assessment to ensure the vendors’ products consistently meet the quality standards required. • Evaluate new vendors for their ability and capacity to supply including the ability to deliver with quality • Work closely with R & D on the testing activities especially in the localization of child parts • Handle supplier quality or delivery issue to ensure preventive action is being in place. • Liaise with relevant department for the feedback of supplier performance • Understand the IATF /AS9000 requirement on Purchasing • Knowledge for selection of new suppliers • Management on supplier to ensure top performance • Knowledge on establishing second party audit and requirement • To cascade down legal and customer requirements to suppliers • Maintain the accredited quality systems, i.e. TS16949:2002 / AS9000 to ensure continuous application of the system and processes. • Internal auditing skill and knowledge • Detection of weakness and noncompliance • Material Planning and monitoring shipments status
