Job Summary: The Purchasing Clerk assists in the procurement of goods and services by processing purchase orders, maintaining records, and coordinating with suppliers. This role ensures timely and cost-effective purchasing while adhering to hotel standards and policies. Key Responsibilities: a)Procurement Support: -Prepare and process purchase orders based on approved requests. -Communicate with suppliers to confirm orders, pricing, and delivery schedules. -Follow up on pending orders and ensure timely delivery. b)Inventory & Documentation: -Maintain accurate records of purchases, deliveries, and supplier details. -Update inventory levels and report shortages to the Purchasing Manager. -Assist in checking received goods for quality and accuracy. c)Vendor Coordination & Compliance: -Assist in sourcing new suppliers and obtaining quotations. -Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and budget constraints. -Resolve any issues related to orders, such as delays or discrepancies. Requirements: -Diploma in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred). -Previous experience in purchasing or administrative roles is an advantage. -Good communication and negotiation skills. -Proficiency in MS Office and inventory software. -Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
