Solar Structure Foundation Design Engineer

• Plan and design foundation structures for solar photovoltaic (PV) systems such as ground-mounted, carport and rooftop systems. • Conduct comprehensive structural analysis to ensure design complies with safety standards, building codes, and project requirements. • Perform structural load simulations including wind, earthquake and other environmental factors using analysis software. • Optimize foundation designs to reduce material and installation costs without compromising long-term safety and durability. • Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and complete tender documents for solar projects using design software. • Produce structural analysis reports and design proposals to submit to authorities or clients for approval. • Review and update design documents based on client, authority or changing project requirements. • Work closely with electrical, mechanical and civil engineering teams to ensure foundation designs are fully integrated with solar systems. • Interact with contractors, architects, and consultants to ensure on-site design implementation is in accordance with approved specifications. • Attend technical and site meetings to coordinate design decisions and resolve technical challenges that arise throughout the project cycle. • Conduct structural risk assessments and ensure designs meet safety, durability, and environmental compliance requirements. • Manage technical approval documents and liaise with local authorities to obtain design approvals and construction approvals. • Conduct research to identify new technologies and building materials that can improve efficiency and reduce costs of solar foundation designs. • Review and recommend improvements in design processes, analysis methodologies, and construction techniques to enhance the company's competitiveness in the marketplace. • Keep abreast of developments in the renewable energy industry and apply the latest innovations to company projects. • Oversee the implementation of basic design at the project site, including conducting technical inspections to ensure compliance with the approved plan. • Provide technical support to the construction team throughout the installation phase and resolve any technical issues that arise quickly and effectively. • Manage project schedules, control costs, and manage resources to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget. • Provide technical training and guidance to local engineers or technicians to develop local expertise in solar basic design. • Provide knowledge sharing sessions and workshops to introduce global best practices in solar energy system design and construction.
