The Procurement Manager (PM) shall be responsible for internal finance guidelines (Financial Policies and Procedures) in order to meet business needs. Decision-making by collecting, analyzing, investigating and reporting financial status for the business. In addition, the PM will focus on the coordination and integration of cross-functional teams with PPKSB and its clients. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Responsible for setting up and managing the site procurement policy. • Emphasis on strategy, supplier development, negotiations, business relationships, cost, assurance of supply and predictability • Own and develop supplier relationships - key business interface with the supply base • Develop and execute supplier selection & sourcing strategy • Accountable and responsible for managing supplier’s database • Manages and direct the purchasing of all goods and services a company needs. • Supplier contract negotiation and cost reduction • Performs tasks as assigned and applies experience to align individual work with overall strategy using discretion and judgment. • Review performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement • Negotiating favorable supplier agreements • Handling tender process at any amount (RM250K +=) • Managing supplier and vendor contract • Handling team KPI and Annual Appraisal • Attending monthly meeting, Audit or BOG meeting when required. • Any ad-hoc task which is required by the management QUALIFICATIONS • BSc degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration 8 years an above relevant work/management experience. • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management and relevant software • Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement • Strong project management and leadership skills • Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships • Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data • Solid judgement with ability to make good decisions • Experience in collecting and analyzing data • Aptitude in decision making and working with numbers SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED • Strong record of the ability to handle large contracts in manufacturing. • Proficiency in applicable sourcing and vendor management software. • Excellent negotiation and networking skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication.
