CLEANING ASSISTANT

The Restaurant Cleaning Assistant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of the restaurant environment. This includes cleaning dining areas, kitchen spaces, restrooms, and other facilities to maintain a pleasant atmosphere for customers and staff. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to health and safety regulations to ensure a clean and safe dining environment. Key Responsibilities: Clean and sanitize dining areas, including tables, chairs, floors, and high-touch surfaces (menus, door handles, etc.). Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in the dining room, kitchen, and restrooms. Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, counters, and food preparation areas to meet health and safety standards. Wipe down and disinfect restrooms regularly throughout the day. Empty trash and replace liners in trash bins in the dining areas, kitchen, and restrooms. Maintain cleaning supplies and report inventory levels to management. Ensure that all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and safe to use. Assist kitchen staff with basic cleaning duties, including cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchen appliances. Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks, such as carpet cleaning, floor waxing, and window washing. Follow the restaurant’s health and safety guidelines to ensure a clean and safe environment for both staff and guests. Assist in setting up or breaking down the dining area before or after service. Respond to urgent cleaning needs during peak hours to maintain a tidy and welcoming atmosphere.
