Key Responsibilities: 1. Measure and Cut Materials: Use measuring tools such as tape measures, levels, and squares to measure and cut wood, plywood, and other materials to the required specifications. 2. Build and Install Structures: Construct and install frameworks for buildings, partitions, walls, and other structures, ensuring accuracy and stability. 3. Install Fixtures: Install doors, windows, cabinets, shelves, and other wooden fixtures, ensuring proper fit and function. 4. Repair and Maintain Woodwork: Repair or replace damaged wood structures, such as framing, doors, or floors, ensuring safety and longevity. 5. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine project specifications and requirements. 6. Worksite Safety: Maintain a safe work environment by following safety guidelines, wearing protective gear, and ensuring that tools and equipment are properly maintained. 7. Use Tools and Equipment: Operate various hand and power tools such as saws, drills, sanders, and hammers, ensuring proper use and maintenance. 8. Collaboration: Work closely with other construction workers, contractors, or clients to complete projects on time and to specification. 9. Inspect and Finish Work: Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy and apply finishing techniques such as sanding, staining, and painting when needed. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and measurements.
