Research and Development:- * To carry out R&D projects such as formulation, sample preparation and sensory evaluation. * To initiate research & development efforts to create new product. * To establish or maintain and update related work instructions, including analysis method, specification (recipe, ingredients list, nutritional fact) and documents of all projects and samples status on time. * Assist in the research of functional ingredients to implement designated new products. * Coordinate and facilitate plans trials and new product start-ups with production team. * Set up and perform internal and external consumer sensory tests and product. Quality Assurance & Quality Control:- * Responsibility, authority develop, implement and maintain the quality system to meet requirement of MESTI, HALAL & JAKIM. * Assisting in halal application by apply new and renewal of halal certification for all products produced in the factory or premise. * Assisting in setting up HALAL Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and to lead and handle HALAL internal and external audit. * To formulate and maintain an effective Quality Control System for improving product quality and standards. * Directly involve in upgrading and maintaining of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) according to quality standards and 5 principles of GMP. * Conduct inspection on incoming raw materials, packaging materials and ingredients to make sure all incoming materials are complied with the internal specification. * Conduct outgoing checking to make sure finished goods is in good condition before loading and the transporters are complied with company’s requirements. * Monitor the quality of incoming and outgoing products and materials. * To prepare incoming, in process and outgoing inspection report. * To ensure on hold or rejected goods are properly identified and segregate with rejection or on hold note. * Manage and maintain halal or quality-controlled documents & create document filing and organizing systems that are both effective and efficient. * To ensure company staffs (operators) follow a code of hygiene during product handling. * To conduct a premise and equipment hygiene and cleanliness inspection at production area. * Plan and manage maintenance schedule for Food Safety related activities such as pest control & calibration of equipment. * To perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by Director’s from time to time.
