Responsibilities: • Develop customized automation equipment including system design, electrical drawings, programming, and commissioning • Support manufacturing process scale-up activities and production ramp • Initiate continuous improvement plans for existing equipment • Setup and use equipment performance data to drive improvement projects • Support escalation activities and troubleshoot production equipment • Develop data collection structures and process controls • Effectively communicate and publish learning, experimental results, etc. Qualifications: • 5+ years of work experience, and BS in engineering • Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment and complex automation projects • Hands-on experience with PLC’s (Siemens and Bosch preferred), MES integration, HMI’s, SCADA, and pneumatic and servo-motion systems • SCARA robot troubleshooting/maintenance • Familiarity with factory data collection and management systems • Ability to work on multiple projects • Desire to work in a dynamic, highly creative environment • Excellent communication and documentation skills • Excellent troubleshooting skills
