Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including financial statements, reports, and schedules.
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Handle taxation matters, including the preparation and filing of SST returns. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate cost accounting and inventory valuation.
Monitor and analyse financial performance, highlighting trends, issues, and opportunities.
Provide support during external audits and liaise with auditors as necessary.
Stay updated with accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven working experience as an Accounts Executive or in a similar accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications.
- Experience in handling full sets of accounts is essential.
- Previous exposure to the manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus. Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment
