
Site Safety Officer
Job Responsibilities:
1. To advise the employer or any person in charge of a place of work on the measures to be taken in the interests of the safety and health of the persons employed in the place of work.
2. To inspect the place of work to determine whether any machinery, plant, equipment, substance, appliance or process or any description of manual labour used in the place of work.
3. To investigate any accident, near-miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational disease which has happened in the place of work.
4. To assist the employer or the safety and health committee, if any, pursuant to regulation 11 of the occupational (safety and health committee) Regulations 1996 in organizing and implementing occupational Safety and health programme at the place of work.
5. To become secretary to the safety and health committee, if any, as specified under subregulation 6(2) of the Occupational Safety And Health (Safety and Health Committee) Regulations 1996, and perform all factions of a secretary as specified in that Regulations
6. To assist the safety and health committee in any inspection of the place of work for the purpose of checking the effectiveness and efficiency of any measures taken in compliance with the act or any regulations made under the Act.
7. To collect, analyze and maintain statistics on any accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational disease which have occurred at the place of work.
8. To assist any officer in carrying out his duty under the Act or any regulations made under the Act.
9. To monitoring transferability of asset on safety and traffic in site.
10. To carry out any other instruction made by the employer or any person in charge of the place of work on any matters pertaining so safety and health of the place of work.
11. Attend site meeting as required and submit monthly report to Project Manager on Occupational Health & Safety at Workplace.
12. Carry out regular site inspection & HSE meeting.
13. Conduct regular Tool Box Meeting and site inspection. Ensure that all workers adhere to the worksite health and safety plan.
14. Ensure all work are conducted in compliance to the occupational Health & Safety Act.
15. Liaise with relevant authority and work closely with the site team on workplace safety, health and environmental issues to maintain a high level of safety and housekeeping at the site.
16. To take any related hob directed by immediate superior and management from time to time.
Job Requirements:
1. Degree in OSHA or its equivalent.
2. Certified by NIOSH and green book holder.
3. Minimum 4-5 years working experience in Health & Safety aspects.
4. Experience in Construction Development Industry is an added advantage.
5. Good communication, interpersonal skills and customer relation management with high proficiency in verbal and written English.
6. Good work attitude, flexible, able to work independently and willing to take on challenges.
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: RM5,024.00 - RM7,500.00 per month
