Job Descriptions:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Clerk of Works to join our team. You will be responsible for monitoring construction activities on-site and providing support to ensure that all work aligns with project specifications and regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
- To supervise and monitor construction works in accordance with the contracts, construction drawings, procedures and method statement.
- To inspect and monitor each stage of construction works including piling, structural and architectural works, external works and infrastructure works.
- To regularly report to relevant superiors on the progress of the works and the problem areas encountered especially in respect of defective, outstanding or non-conforming works or delayed works.
- To attend all site meetings and technical meetings.
- To ensure that works are carried out in compliance with local authority requirements.
- To conduct regular inspection and ensure all works are completed with good workmanship.
- To identify all outstanding works and problems encountered on site and propose mitigation solution.
- To ensure that materials used are in accordance to contract specifications and standards.
- To assist on site valuations in verifying contractors’ work done in the progress claims.
- To verify and document of all testing performed on site.
- To maintain all relevant forms, documents, correspondences and records (including photos) in respect to daily work records.
- Any other duties as per instructed by the Superior.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree/Diploma or professional qualification in Engineering, Building/Construction Management or related disciplines
- Minimum 5 year working experience with consultants or representing developers as Clerk of Works
- Good knowledge of construction process and methodology
- Good knowledge in building foundation and structural works
- Good knowledge in infrastructure works (Earthwork, road & drainage, water reticulation and sewer reticulation)
- Good knowledge in building works
- Good knowledge in construction and contractual procedures, familiar with design specifications and reading construction drawings
- Able to resolve technical issues on site independently
- Good written and verbal communication - English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Good computer knowledge - Microsoft Office applications
- Two vacancies available - Permanent/Contract
