Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic Assistant Manager – Business Development to drive the acquisition of rental and leasing projects for vehicles, equipment, machinery, and manufacturing assets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding our client base across key industries and not limited to such as construction, logistics, manufacturing, and infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development & Sales:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in vehicle, equipment, and machinery leasing & rental.
  • Develop relationships with corporates, government agencies, contractors, infrastructure developers, logistics firms, and manufacturers to secure leasing projects.
  • Prepare and deliver customized sales pitches, proposals, and presentations to potential clients.
  • Negotiate rental and leasing agreements, pricing, and contract terms to maximize profitability.
  • Explore tender and bidding opportunities for large-scale leasing projects.

2. Market Research & Strategy:

  • Conduct market research to analyze industry trends, customer demands, and competitor activities.
  • Identify potential clients across construction, heavy industries, manufacturing, logistics, and infrastructure sectors.
  • Develop and execute business growth strategies to enhance market penetration and revenue generation.

3. Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and contract renewals.
  • Act as a primary contact for clients, addressing inquiries and offering customized leasing solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling leasing and rental services.

4. Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Coordinate with internal departments (operations, finance, legal) to ensure smooth execution of contracts and service delivery.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, revenue targets, and project acquisition metrics to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6 - 8 years of experience in business development, sales, or leasing/rental industry (experience in vehicle, equipment, or industrial machinery leasing preferred).
  • Strong understanding of leasing models, financial structuring, and rental business operations.
  • Excellent negotiation, networking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans and close high-value deals.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and data analysis.
  • Self-motivated, result-oriented, and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Number of new leasing/rental projects acquired.
  • Revenue growth and profitability from new and existing clients.
  • Client retention and satisfaction levels.
  • Market penetration and industry partnerships developed.
  • Successful participation in tenders and bidding processes.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
