Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a variety of material handling equipment (MHE) such as forklifts (reach trucks, counterbalance, etc.), pallet jacks (electric and manual), stackers, and potentially other specialized equipment as required.
  • Transport goods and materials within the warehouse, loading docks, and other designated areas according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles (trucks, containers) safely and efficiently.
  • Stack and arrange goods in designated storage areas, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
  • Pick and stage orders for shipment accurately and efficiently.
  • Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections of MHE, completing checklists and reporting any faults or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks on MHE, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and battery charge, as required.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to MHE operation and warehouse activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the MHE.
  • Report any accidents, incidents, or near misses immediately to the supervisor.
  • Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, such as manual loading/unloading, wrapping pallets, and inventory counts.
  • Participate in safety training and operational briefings as required.
  • Ensure that all loads are secure and stable before transportation.
  • Communicate effectively with other warehouse staff, supervisors, and drivers.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid and recognized MHE operator license/certification in Malaysia (e.g., Forklift Operator Certificate). Specific endorsements for different types of MHE may be required.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience operating MHE in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Having valid Driving License "D" class.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, labels, and safety instructions in Bahasa Malaysia and/or English.
  • Physical ability to perform the essential duties of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
