About the role

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our dynamic team at MAPC Sdn Bhd in Pandamaran Port Klang, Selangor. As our new Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations and reporting for our company. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth and development.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide valuable insights to senior management
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies
  • Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and training as needed
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Participate in strategic decision-making and provide financial recommendations to the leadership team
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial accounting role, preferably within the management accounting industry
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and relevant tax laws and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
  • Proficient in using SQL accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach, with a commitment to accuracy and quality
