JOB OBJECTIVE

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or similar.
  • At least 3 years relevant working experience. Preferably at least one year of experience in providing support to end-users through phone, email, and chat within the IT sector.
  • Knowledge in wide range of operating systems, IT devices and support for business applications (ERP systems). Bonus point if have knowledge in development tools, data bases, and programming.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skill, self-motivated, resourceful, hardworking and able to work independently.
  • Capable to perform multi-tasking efficiently.
  • Excellent planning and time arrangement skills.
  • Ability to follow processes and collaborate effectively as a team.
  • Ability to give specific and clear instructions and problem-solving advice.
  • Ability to work under pressure and be decisive & support end-user environment.
  • You have good command in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken).

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Identification of Information System Needs

  • Identify the company’s hardware & infrastructure requirements and provide expertise in the development of effective solutions for network servers, e-mail servers, gateways, network hubs, routers, print servers, communication devices and end –user computer workstations and to recommend optimum hardware solution.
  • Identify end user needs and promptly respond to users who express the need for new hardware or upgrade of workstation, printer, scanners, memory etc. and to resolve network and communications issues.

B. Hardware / Software Development

  • Apply established networking standards to add value in developing network solutions to support and enhance end-users’ productivity.
  • Develop procedures that minimize the impact of computer problems and provide written procedures for disaster recovery.
  • Develop and maintain documentation on workstation and network resources including user information, server and workstation configurations, network cabling, backup & restore logs, trouble logs.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of data processing, data analysis and information technology applications with the aid of reporting tools (Syspro Crystal Report, Business Intelligence Tools, etc.)

C. Hardware / Software Support and Services

  • To ensure and maintain the daily backup job is completed successfully in the event of disaster recovery.
  • To troubleshoot and resolve server, networking & internet and e-mail communication problems.
  • Perform network administration, files administration, ownership and rights allocation and ensure proper security integrity, confidentiality are maintained accordingly.
  • Assist, troubleshoot and resolve the most common technical problems either on the phone or at the user's location. Perform user administration and basic troubleshooting of standard, internal or third party applications.
  • To communicate and liaise with external vendors to resolve technical issues etc.

D. Hardware Implementation

  • Execute network procedures such as bandwidth utilization trending, monitor, improve, refine and document server capabilities and procedures such as server backups, disk space management, processor utilization, inventory, security, and system management.
  • Coordinate the installation of network cabling, hubs and adapters with vendors and outside contractors.
  • Troubleshoot basic networking problems. Assist end-users in defining networking requirements and work with other technical personnel and outside vendors in designing networking solutions.
  • Install network server / workstation and configure server / workstations based on established & proven configurations.
  • To ensure all scheduled backup jobs are verified and without errors.
  • Install software and configures, peripheral devices, LAN & communication devices such as
  • uninterruptable power supply, modems, print servers, routers etc. to network file servers.

E. Others

  • To perform any task and project as assign by IT Manager from Time to Time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
