Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Monitoring and controlling safety and compliance in the organization as per the Safety and Health Act 1994 and organization's safety policy.
  • Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments of the workplace to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention.
  • Advising the management on safety issue as well as developing health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Carrying out safety inspection an internal audits and reporting to management with suggestions and measures for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
  • To lead safety committees and meetings to discuss safety concerns and initiatives.
  • Ensure all staff complies with those regulations include compliance to Environmental regulations.
  • Provide and initiate SHE trainings to ensure all employees are fully aware and adequately trained according to legislation requirements.
  • Submit annually the necessary documents to DOSH as required by the Act.
  • Implement 5 ‘S’ to ensure safety surrounding areas.
  • Coordinate and liase with relevent authorities (JKKP, BOMBA, Suruhanjaya Tenaga)
  • Liaise with Bomba on fire preventive, evacuation and conduct fire drill training.
  • Liaise with vendor to do monthy checking for Fire System.
  • Responsbile to attend call to verifiy with SPKA (Sistem Pengawasan Kebakaran Automatik).
  • Assist all visiting government officer and consult related to safety, health and environment.
  • Perform any other relevant/adhoc tasks as assigned by superior/Management.

Requirements :

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Certified and registered as Safety and Health Officer with (Department of Occupational Safety & Health, Malaysia) DOSH
  • Competent Safety and Health Officer with minimum two or three years' working experience
  • In-depth knowledge of legislation and procedures.
  • Experience in report writing and policies for health and safety.
  • Ability to plan, implement and monitor safety program, policies, and procedures.
