Job Summary:
The RTR Analyst – Bank Recon & MDM will be responsible to perform daily / reconciliation of an organization’s actual bank balance with cash amounts in the ledgerand to ensure related function activities process accurately and timely in accordance with established processes in compliance with the Company policies and procedures, audit requirements and internal controls, Service Level Agreement (SLA) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Responsibilities:
Operations
- Perform month end closing activities, finalise the bank reconciliations on monthly basis. Coordinate with local companies, other finance and non-finance functions to ensure bank reconciliation items are being booked and reconciled.
- Ensure month end close tasks are executed in a timely manner and in accordance with established work procedures and month end close timelines
- Perform daily bank reconciliations, reconciling receipting/ payments to ensure the accounting system reflects the correct transactions in bank.
- Perform analysis to identify error if any and reconcile the Bank account balances and ledger balances.
- Investigate and follow up on open items and ensure timely resolution
- Prepare and post journals.
- Maintain general ledger, vendor, customer master data, etc
- Perform control checks and ensure all transactions and month end activities are approved and processed completely, accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with SLAs and KPIs.
- Liaise with banks, local company, etc to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Attend to queries and ensure timely resolution. Escalate unresolved issues in a timely manner.
- Support new team members through proper knowledge transfer, sharing of resources, knowledge and experience
- Assist in preparing and updating work procedures and training materials, when required.
- Assist and support internal and statutory audits
- Perform other related cash & bank reconciliations
- Perform such other tasks as required by Senior Analyst/ Team Manager / Process Manager
Transition Activities
- Ensure all transition activities are carried out in accordance with project timelines
- Assist in preparing and update work procedures and training materials
- Conduct training for new team members
- Assist in perform work shadowing and ensure tasks and work steps are documented correctly
- Assist to develop test scripts and perform system readiness tests and UAT
- Identify and close any system and knowledge gaps prior to golive
Continuous Improvement
- Proactively identify, propose and implement standardization, best practices and continuous improvement opportunities to achieve efficiency, cost reduction and effectives year-over-year in consultation with Team Manager/ Process Manager
- Assist and support process automation/ process simplification
Qualifications:
- Fresh Graduates with Diploma/ Degree in Accounting/ Finance or professional accounting qualifications (e.g. ACCA or CPA).
- Minimum 1-2 years of working experience in related field
- Experienced working in an ERP environment (e.g. Hyperion, Oracle, SAP, NetSuite)
- Experienced working in a shared service or MNC environment is an added advantage
- Fluent in Mandarin is an advantage
Skills:
- Good knowledge of accounting, internal controls, US GAAP and SOX requirements
- Good MS Excel skills
- Good process improvement skills
- Good English written and verbal communication skills
