Summary:

We seek a highly accomplished and results-oriented General Manager with a strong background in stem cell and the pharmaceutical industry. This leadership role requires strategic planning, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of regulatory compliance within the life sciences sector. The successful candidate will drive the company's growth and profitability while ensuring ethical and responsible practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the overall strategic vision and operational plans for the company, aligning with long-term goals and market trends. This includes market analysis, competitive assessment, and identification of new opportunities.
  • Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including research and development, manufacturing, quality control, regulatory affairs, and sales & marketing. This requires effective resource allocation and performance management.
  • Financial Management: Manage the company's budget, forecast financial performance, and ensure profitability. This includes monitoring key financial metrics, preparing financial reports, and managing investments.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with relevant regulations and industry standards, including those related to stem cell research, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This involves staying updated on regulatory changes and proactively addressing potential compliance issues.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. This includes hiring, training, performance evaluation, and succession planning.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including collaborations, partnerships, and strategic alliances. This may involve attending industry events and building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, partners, and other key stakeholders. Effectively communicate company performance and strategy.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance systems to ensure the production of high-quality products and services. This includes adhering to GMP and other quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (PhD or MD preferred) in stem cell biology, pharmaceutical sciences, or a closely related field.
  • Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) in a senior management role within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, preferably with direct experience in stem cell research or related therapies.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, operational management, and financial oversight.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory requirements relevant to stem cell and pharmaceutical products.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in both Mandarin and English

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in fundraising or securing investment for research and development.
  • Experience with navigating the complexities of FDA or equivalent regulatory approvals.
  • Publication record in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
