R&D Pastry Chef
We are seeking a dyamic and eperienced R&D Pastry Chef to lead our product development initiatives.The ideal candidte will have a strong background in food science and a passion for innovation in the bakery industry.
1. Recipe Development & Innovation (R&D):
· Create and develop new pastry recipes and concepts, focusing on innovation and market trends.
· Continuously experiment with ingredients, techniques, and presentation to enhance the pastry menu.
2. Daily Production:
· Oversee and execute daily mass production of pastries, ensuring consistency and high quality.
· Manage production workflows to optimize kitchen efficiency.
3. Quality Control:
· Ensure all pastries meet high-quality standards and maintain consistency in taste and appearance.
· Implement and adhere to quality control procedures and guidelines.
4. Team Collaboration:
· Work closely with the kitchen manager and other staff to coordinate production and streamline processes.
· Provide training and guidance to junior pastry staff on techniques and best practices.
5. Performance Tracking:
· Track and analyze the performance of new recipes and production processes.
· Adjust recipes and methods based on feedback and performance metrics.
6. Creativity and Presentation:
· Bring creativity and flair to pastry presentation, contributing to the visual appeal of all products.
· Stay updated with pastry trends and incorporate new ideas into the menu.
*Additional Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GMP, MeSTI, and Halal (JAKIM) standards.
- Train staff on hygiene, allergen control, and contamination prevention.
- Investigate and resolve contamination issues.
- Work with production, R&D, and suppliers to improve quality.
- Advise on ingredient substitutions and process adjustments.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
