  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Sales Manager – Freight Forwarding & Logistics

Location: Simpang Ampat, Penang
Salary: Negotiable
Job Type: Full-Time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Job Description:

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Sales Manager to lead a growing team within the freight forwarding and logistics sector. This role is ideal for someone with strong ocean freight experience, leadership capabilities, and a track record of meeting sales targets in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a sales and logistics team (initially 2 subordinates, with potential expansion)
  • Guide junior sales team in new customer acquisition
  • Oversee daily logistics operations through the customer service team
  • Build and manage a robust ocean freight customer pipeline to achieve sales targets
  • Drive growth by identifying new business opportunities and offering integrated supply chain solutions (sea & air freight, customs clearance, cross-border trucking)
  • Promote company services and increase brand visibility within the business community
  • Develop strategic and creative logistics solutions to exceed customer expectations
  • Secure new clients and manage existing accounts to grow revenue and client retention
  • Monitor account performance using KPIs and drive continuous improvement
  • Build strong, strategic relationships with clients and international partners
  • Maximize profitability through effective proposal and strategy development

Requirements:

  • Strong background in ocean freight and freight forwarding
  • Experience in petrochemical logistics is a plus
  • Open to all races and genders (Mandarin-speaking preferred due to client needs)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to multitask, manage priorities, and work independently
  • Results-oriented, with a positive attitude and the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Willing to contribute extra hours when required by business demands

  • 1 round only – conducted either virtually or physically with HR & General Manager
